2nd Friday Film Series
“Heights of the Human Spirit”
Come to be inspired! Bring your friends to the 2nd Fridays Film Series on the second Friday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Undercroft. The films we view show the heights of the human spirit confronting difficulties and transforming the world. At 2nd Fridays all are welcome: St. Andrew's members, non-members, residents of the neighborhood! Wine, cheese, and refreshments are served. After the feature film, we enjoy an open forum to discuss the film.
Do you have a suggestion for a future film? Would you like to help greet? Serve refreshments? Assist with technical set up and showing? Do community publicity? You are needed! Please contact Ann Hyde, (913) 980-5555.
Each month, join us for a FREE film, as well as FREE wine and cheese, coffee and dessert. Bring your friends and family!

Friday, September 10
7 p.m.
St. Andrew's Undercroft

September 10th is the 3rd anniversary of 2nd Fridays film series!
On September 10th, Betsy Hansbrough will lead the discussion about Lars and the Real Girl, one of her favorites from teaching film and theology at St. Theresa’s for 20 years. Her focus is on “the mimetic theory” of transformation vs. bitterness, revenge, and scapegoating. The story shows how a community can come together for someone. See what a Christian community can look like.
Join us each month for an uplifting evening of film, discussion and friendship. Come to be reenergized!
Make the 2nd Fridays Film Series a recurrent event on your calendar!

Contact Ann Hyde, (913) 980-5555 to get on the list for notification of future films. Most of all - just plan to come each month and be part of a wonderful group of people. Contribute suggestions for films fitting the criteria. Sean Kim, Harvard educated history professor at CMSU, Father John Spicer and I started the series two years ago.
