DESCRIPTION:Join the St. Andrew’s Art Guild for a reception and artist talk to kick off our next exhibition “Frames of Reference” by for Tate Owens on Friday\, July 10\, 5:30 to 7:30 at HJ’s Art Gallery. Beverages and light hors d’oeuvres will be provided. \nTate is a local interdisciplinary artist and art educator. Born and raised in western Kansas\, his work is heavily influenced by his rural roots and bond with nature. In his words\, “My family has used the land to farm for generations; I use this experience as an artistic and spiritual resource.” \nHis work focuses on bringing new life to discarded objects and recycled materials. \nThe receptions are an opportunity for the church to engage with the community\, meet local artists\, and perhaps see the world in a new way through his art.
