Hearing a Call to the Vestry?
It’s time for nominations for the new Vestry class, which will begin serving in January 2021. Past senior warden Melissa Rock is leading the Vestry Nominating Committee, which also includes Jan Ashmore, Rita Kendagor, Ralph Munyan, and Paul Wurth. If you sense God’s nudge to continue building your ministry leadership by serving on our governing board, or if you sense God calling someone you know to take that step, please complete a nomination form, available in the church entryway or by submitting the form below. Nominations are due Monday, Sept. 28.
Thank you for your prayerful discernment in nominating a member of St. Andrew’s to serve a three-year term on the Vestry. According to our bylaws, members of the Vestry must be at least 16 years old, must be parish members in good standing, and “shall have pledged and contributed regularly … to the support of the Church for at least six months immediately prior to the meeting at which he or she is elected.” In addition, Vestry members must “be conscientiously attached to the doctrine, discipline and worship of the [Episcopal] Church.” (Pledge, giving, and membership status will be verified by the rector and finance office.) Self-nominations are accepted. Please place paper forms in the nomination box in the church entryway by Sept. 28, 2020. Nominations may also be completed by submitting the form below.
