2025 Vestry Nominees
The Vestry Nominating Committee has named the following candidates for election as the Vestry class of 2028: Tim Dodderidge, Ben Gloe, Carolyn Johnson, Karen Lundgren, Alisa Ramsey, and Ann Woodyard.
Tim Dodderidge
Tim Dodderidge joined St. Andrew’s in early 2024 along with his partner, Alyssa Raymond. Tim grew up in the Episcopal Church and was confirmed at St. Michael and All Angels in Mission, KS. Tim has a background in marketing/communications and currently serves as the web content specialist for Johnson County government. At the University of Kansas, he was heavily involved in the campus’ InterVarsity chapter and brings his experience with outreach and fellowship to St. Andrew’s. He is nominated as Vestry liaison for Young Adult Ministry.
Karen Lundgren
Karen Lundgren and her husband, Dr. Craig Lundgren, joined St. Andrew’s in 2019 and found it not only to be a warm and welcoming place but an environment that encourages involvement. Through volunteering with various Kansas City nonprofits, along with mission trips to Guatemala, Karen realized her passion for service. For 15 years, Karen has been actively volunteering at Gordon Parks Elementary School, including being a past board chairperson. It was Karen’s activities at the school that introduced the Lundgrens to St. Andrew’s. Since joining, Karen has been on the Outreach Commission as the liaison to Gordon Parks School; and for the past three years, she has been the commission’s chairperson. Karen is nominated as the Vestry liaison for the Outreach Commission.
Carolyn Johnson
Carolyn Johnson joined Grace Episcopal Church in Madison, WI, in 1987, and joined St. Andrew’s in 2023 after moving to Kansas City following semi-retirement. At St. Andrew’s, Carolyn’s a member of the Community Engagement Commission and the Adult Christian Formation Commission, and she coordinates the schedule for Sunday Greeters. She has an awesome partner in Paul Johnson, two wonderful sons, and one equally fabulous daughter. Professionally, Carolyn is a part-time library director at Central Seminary in the KC metro, overseeing its online library and teaching research skills. Spiritually, she has been a follower of Jesus as long as she can remember, having grown up (literally!) in a Swedish Baptist Church in northern Wisconsin. Carolyn is nominated as Vestry liaison for the Fellowship & Connection Commission.
Benjamin Gloe
Ben is a lifelong member of St. Andrew’s. He and his wife, Dr. Logan Kline, were married here in 2020, and both their children were baptized here. Ben serves on the Finance Committee. For the last 11 years, he has been a senior logistics account executive with Cincinnati-based Total Quality Logistics and was the founding member of the Kansas City branch, which he opened eight years ago. Ben recently served on the Kennedy campaign as a presidential elector for the state of Kansas and represented TQL Kansas City philanthropically as the head of TQL Cares. Ben’s goal in Vestry service is to encourage more participation and engagement amongst his peers while supporting the goals of the St. Andrew’s leadership team. He is nominated as Vestry liaison for the Finance Commission.
Ann Woodyard
Ann Sanders Woodyard is a financial planner at Creative Planning LLC in Overland Park, where she works with international and domestic clients. She first became part of St. Andrew’s in 1995 but left in 2004 to pursue diverse career interests. After a stint in academia, Ann returned to the Kansas City area in 2018 with her cradle-Episcopalian husband, Joe, and promptly re-engaged with the St. Andrew’s community. Ann has been active in choir, the Endowment Commission, the Brookside Farmer’s Market Welcome Tent, and the Back Porch Alliance. She and Joe are charter members of the Tech Guild and are dedicated fans of Trivia Night. They live in Overland Park with their precious rescue terrier, Beasley. Ann is nominated as the Vestry liaison for the Endowment Commission.
Alisa Ramsey
Alisa Ramsey joined St Andrew’s in 2016 while growing her roots in Kansas City. Alisa and her husband, Andy, were married here in 2019, and you’ve likely seen their two-and-a-half-year-old son, Wilson, mesmerized by the 10:15 a.m. service. Alisa initially got involved at St Andrew’s by volunteering with the Youth Group and serving at St Paul’s Pantry. After Wilson’s birth, she joined the Children’s Ministry Commission and is nominated as its Vestry liaison. Professionally, Alisa is a clinical social worker and primarily works with families who have children with high behavioral-health needs.
According to our bylaws, a slate of nominees is selected in the fall even though their election doesn’t take place until the Annual Parish Meeting, which will be Jan. 26, 2025. This gives nominees the opportunity to attend Vestry meetings so they can hit the ground running after their election. Our bylaws also allow for other Vestry candidates to be nominated by petition. To do so, submit to the rector a written nomination, a statement (signed by the nominee) that the nominee is willing to serve, and a petition indicating support for the nominee signed by 25 parishioners in good standing. The petition must be submitted before the December Vestry meeting (Dec. 17, 2024). Thanks very much to those who allowed their names to be put forward, and thanks to the members of the Vestry Nominating Committee for their discernment and service – Bill Aliber (chair), Jason Angilan, Scott Burditt, Cate Duerst, and Victoria Fiori.
